WELCOME TO JONES BLOG!

WORDS that are spoken, should provide 2 options - LIFE or DEATH!

There is so much power in words, when used appropriately. A depressed soul can be uplifted by a smooth tone of phrases, when all else fails. A crying child will become silent once an expression of adoration is spoken directly. Even when placed with a distinctive tune, hearts are moved to a compassionate mode. It has been said that music 'soothes the savage beast.' In addition, when you smile, or even laugh, the very innate qualities are rejuvenated, and extends to others, uplifting them to pursue life in its truest form.

I will be discussing many topics that appear to be imperative for today's way of thinking. With eloquent words, feelings of joy, love, peace, and contentment can be transferred. It is imperative to make sure we speak with what will cause one to walk away with an amazing outlook of assurance, knowing that things CAN, AND WILL work out!

The Power of SPEAKING LIFE!

"The Sovereign LORD has given me an instructed tongue, to know the Word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being taught!
(Isaiah 50:4)

What constitutes an honored vessel today, and do you realize how imperative the times have become, where those vessels are so much in demand today?

Our Heavenly Father has given us explicit instructions for these times, but are we indeed following them, during such a time as this?

Too many individuals are finding themselves swimming in a lake of depression, unsure of what their present day holds, wanting to give up on life.  Or there are those who keep their blood-drenching claws, deeply embedded into some "poor, unfortunate soul," stifling in an otherwise unloving relationship, amiss dormancy contempt.  Loneliness, grief, being misunderstood, fearful, "broke, busted and disgusted," as the saying goes.  With so much encompassing all of us, are we boldly revealing to people that they really don't have to feel unnecessarily defeated, with no hope or true direction?

In the Book of Ezekiel, we can see how The Father does indeed reveal that, whatever He says, can be done. No matter how different or out-of-the-ordinary it may be, Our Heavenly Father is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above ALL. When He tells us that He wants us to do anything, we should always know that HE KNOWS that it can be done, before He even asks!

The scripture shows us just one of the many instances, when we hear from the The Most High, and DO what we hear, things can happen right before our very eyes. Ezekiel 37:1-14 tells us:
"The Hand of the LORD was upon me, and He brought me out by the SPIRIT of the LORD, and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones! He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. He asked me, "Son of man, CAN THESE BONES LIVE?" I said, "Oh Sovereign FATHER, YOU ALONE KNOW!." Then He said to me, "PROPHESY to these bones, and SAY to them, 'DRY BONES, HEAR the WORD of the LORD! This is what the Sovereign Father says to these bones: I WILL MAKE BREATH enter you, and you will COME TO LIFE!"

I will attach tendons to you, and make flesh come upon you, and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life! Then you will know that I AM THE LORD!'" So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones CAME TOGETHER, bone to bone. I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them, and skin covered them, but there was NO BREATH IN THEM.

Then He said to me, "Prophesy TO THE BREATH; Prophesy, son of man, and say to it, 'This is what the Sovereign FATHER says: COME from the four winds, OH BREATH, and BREATHE INTO these SLAIN, that they MAY LIVE!'"  So I prophesied as He commanded me, and BREATH ENTERED THEM; they CAME to LIFE and STOOD UP on their feet—A VAST ARMY!

Then He said to me: "Son of man, these bones are the WHOLE HOUSE of ISRAEL!  They say, 'Our bones are dried up, and our hope is gone; we are cut off!'  Therefore, prophesy and say to them: 'This is what the SOVEREIGN FATHER says: Oh, my people, I AM GOING TO OPEN your graves and BRING YOU from them; I WILL BRING YOU BACK to the land of Israel! Then you, my people, will KNOW that I AM THE LORD, when I open your graves, and BRING YOU UP from them. I will put My SPIRIT in you, and YOU WILL LIVE, and I will SETTLE you in your own land! Then you will KNOW that I the LORD have SPOKEN, and I HAVE DONE IT, declares the LORD."
The scripture above tells us how the very Spirit of the Most High spoke directly to Ezekiel, issuing a mandate to him. He was told to do something that probably seemed awkward, or even presumably impossible, but WHATEVER The Father says, can AND WILL be done, FOR HIS GLORY! He also approached Ezekiel with a question - "Can these bones live?" It appears that the answer Ezekiel gave in response further provided the command. Not that our Heavenly Father already knew how Ezekiel would respond, but so that Ezekiel himself could know that he was able to hear the voice of The Almighty, while also believing, and seeing, the supernatural manifestation of what The Father is capable of doing, when he obeyed the command.

We have continually heard, whether in church services, through various ministers, evangelists, prophets, as well as biblical teachers, how important it is to watch what we allow to dispense out of our mouths, especially since "LIFE AND DEATH are IN the POWER of the TONGUE!" And since we have received POWER to "Speak those things that be not as though they were," Our Heavenly Father has also equipped us, through His Holy Spirit, to SPEAK LIFE into individuals.

Jesus/Yeshua said, in John 6:63, that "It is the SPIRIT that quickens; the FLESH profits nothing: the WORDS that I speak unto you, they are SPIRIT, AND they are LIFE!" Also, in John 12:50, Jesus spoke,

"I know that His commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak!"

As we listen more, before we speak, we have to remain mindful of what we hear.  In order to form our lips to utter a "coined" phrase, consider how it would sound, if the same were to be spoken to us, and how it would affect us.

Instead of looking down at someone, and seeing what they may have done that was not exactly favorable to us, why not ask the Father to show us what He knows He's already placed in that person.  Whether in or out of a church building, the ways of The Father are perfect, and during these especially difficult times, with everything transpiring in people's lives, can we ask The Sovereign Father to show us how we should SPEAK LIFE into those individuals He puts in our path?  Those we need to encourage, inspire, bring hope and understanding, while we are here on earth?

Rather than telling someone they are no good, or will never amount to anything, speak into  them that, before the very foundation of the world, The Father knew what they were destined to become, regardless to what their parents,  or anyone else may have claimed over their life.  Rather than squawking to someone that because of the mistakes they have made, that they are useless, proclaim that The Father has called them out of darkness, into the marvelous light, and they can live abundantly in Him.  They are fearfully, wonderfully made by the Most High, created in His image and likeness.

"For our Heavenly Father did not appoint us to suffer wrath, but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with Him. Therefore, ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER, and BUILD EACH OTHER UP, just as in fact you are doing!" (1 Thessalonians 5:9-11)

The "American Dream" may be the thing to desire so that others can provide a show of pride, and sometimes envy.  However, being an honored vessel is not just about obtaining materialistic possessions, or prestige, or even popularity, just to be boastful.  "To whom MUCH is given, MUCH IS REQUIRED!"  Let us keep that in mind, wherever we are, whenever we come in contact with individuals, we MUST BE FOUND EMULATING Our Heavenly Father's traits, TO THE PRAISE OF HIS GLORY!  There are too many lives at stake, and not enough positive provision.  There is so much work to be done, and time is winding up.  Share the joy, the goodness, the compassionate, merciful testimonies to them who feel they have no hope, thinking their life is not worth living.

SPEAK into those who appear lost, letting them know they are LOVED, regardless to the painted picture of despair constantly in front of their eyes.  Our Sovereign Father, through the shed blood of His Son, Jesus/Yeshua, came to die once, for ALL who accepts Him in faith, to be filled with His Spirit, while walking in liberty, realizing there is absolutely nothing too hard for Him to do!

Go into the hedges and highways, compel others by revealing to them how thankful you are in your life, and how they can move into greatness, too. And,  for the sake of our Sovereign Father, PLEASE, since we ourselves have been forgiven, saved from our old, sinful nature, spread love, and SMILE!

Apostle Rejoice Marie Dupree: We Will Miss You!

Apostle Rejoice Marie Dupree
 March 26, 1949 - July 26, 2013

While glazing over all of my Facebook friends' pages,  sadly, someone has moved on to another level in life.

Apostle Rejoice Marie Dupree transitioned Friday, July 26, 2013.

It's interesting how The Father will place us in the most unexpected areas, while placing His most gifted individuals on our path, revealing who we are, and showing us why we are even here.

During the year 1997, I was invited to sing at a winter holiday event in SC.  After vocalizing "Oh Holy Night," I was approached by a very astute, and highly anointed lady, who provided such prolific words, through the Holy Spirit.  The words were so in tune with what The Father had been speaking to me, all I could do was cry, and give exhilarating praises to The Most High, for how He was using this truly amazing woman!  She didn't know me from Adam, but she portrayed an honored vessel, and meat for the Master's  use!
"Every matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses!" (2 Corinthians 13:1)
The Father continued to move through her, reminding me of what He's been getting His  children ready for, how He's filling us with His presence, for such a time as this.  The minister  was so clear as to what I needed to know, blessing me confidently.  She was then led by the Father to lay hands on several others in the service, through singing, exhorting, encouraging, and supernatural healing, WITH POWER from ON HIGH!
After the service, we exchanged phone numbers, and began having many conversations, regarding The Father's thorough and pure, unadulterated Word, becoming life, right before our very eyes.  Our chats also included how we were constantly claiming victory over the lives of our own children, and how they would be used to the Glory of The Father, in every facet, every experience, every door they would enter, and every person they would come in contact with.  Whether in school, college, work, even church attendance, they would all be kept in Our Father's victorious care, while they flow in His directions.

Suddenly, and without notice, Rejoice moved to another state, and we lost contact for a few years.  Yet I continued to remember what The Father told us during those destined conversations, making sure we remained receptive to His orders.

Min. Dupree was like an older, yet wiser, sister to me.  She was someone who knew the voice of The Father, flowing under the power of the Most High in so many ways.

Quite an amazing singer, she was gifted to touch people from different walks of life, as the Holy Spirit guided her, through small presents she would dispense, or blessing by laying hands on each one, in Jesus' name, touching those who feel there is no one who cares, or the lost, forgotten, depressed, etc., through the power of anointing of the Holy Spirit.

The testimony of her life was always so thought-provoking, and "real."  A native of Houston, TX, raised by a devout mother and grandmother, Min. Dupree later matured in the neighborhoods of northeast Washington, D.C., where the dangers of inner city life would eventually force her to re-evaluate her own decisions, which ultimately meant giving up a promising rock and roll career.

During one of her interviews, she shared how she was on the verge of signing a recording contract with a major label
"When you're in serious trouble, there are only two people you can call for help: Momma and God, and Momma couldn't help me!  There were those who had it in for me, and God closed the door!  I surrendered to Him, and made a promise that I would get right, if HE would get me out of it!  He did, and I have kept my word!  I've been running for the Lord ever since!  The Lord re-directed my path, and I knew then that I couldn't sign that contract!"
Her re-connection to the church, which included her salvation as a born-again Christian at the age of 30, and a Pentecostal minister since 1985, became a permanent condition.  Instead of walking on that dismal road, she "got busy" in the church.  Her transformation from a rock-and-roller, traveling with the wrong crowd, to the caterer of the "Hugs of Love and Big Heart Ministries," which she founded in 1993, while serving parishes in Michigan and South Carolina.  She was provided opportunities to travel the country, preaching and singing her way to the Kingdom of Our Heavenly Father.  Music, throughout Rejoice's life, as well as gift-giving, remained a central part of her "hugs-and-heart" ministry.

Oddly enough, once I moved back north in 2000, somehow, as The Father would have it, we reconnected again!  What an awesome blessing!  Rejoice had moved to Virginia Beach in 1997 to broaden her ministry, which helped her gain momentum that same year, when she won first place in the solo division of a national gospel music convention.  She was the first African-American woman to do so, in the convention's 40-year history!

After requesting to listen over the phone, Rejoice was one of the first to purchase from me a copy of Larry McCullough and Chosen Generation's "HE LIFTED ME" CD.  Reason being that I was listed as a leader of one of the listed songs, "Chosen," composed by Larry himself.  I remember her tearfully telling me how she was so blessed, both by words and melody.  Such a true testament of what constitutes a real friend.

The last time we spoke, she had moved back to SC, and we asked each other how different elements were taking place in our lives.  No matter how often, whether we conversed or not, I always thought of her as my extended older, yet wiser sibling, who knew she had a consistent right relationship with The Father, keeping her ears open to His voice at all times, for clear and concise directions, while here on earth.

A glowing beacon of Light, sitting in darkness, Apostle Rejoice Dupree never had a problem sharing the Love, Goodness, Passion, or Forgiveness that The Father instills in His children.  I will miss her deeply, but I know that everything that her chosen journey took her through, she will hear the Father say, "Well done, good and faithful servant! Come on, home!"

I'm also praying that her two wonderful children, whom she always adored and spoke of dearly, will continue to keep that perfect peace of our Heavenly Father, draped around them, as it resonates throughout their lives, as well as the family and loved ones.

Apostle Rejoice, the name speaks for itself, and WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU.  Rest in Peace, and the Power of the Most High!
